Turn the water back on and check for leaks.On the inside of the shower, replace the spindle and tighten it in place. Slide the cap over the spindle and tighten it. Then, place the new cover plate over the shower valve, line up the diverter valve, and tighten it in place with the supplied screws. Install the handle. Turn the water back on and check for leaks..
